Natura Design and Consulting provides consulting at our office, or at your home, business or job site. We answer questions, identify resources and provide solutions. We make referrals to other experts depending on your needs and can provide assessments and recommendations. We also operate in the capacity of Project Managers, from remodel to complete construction — working with architects and builders to make projects more 'green', healthy and environmentally sound.

Design Services

Natura Design and Consulting provides interior design for projects large or small — from single 'showcase' rooms to entire residences or businesses. We also design custom furniture using your designs, or working from our designs utilizing sustainable, organic materials.

Education Services and Seminars

We offer classes, seminars and workshops, and are available to speak on the following topics:

• Demonstrations and discussions at the home of Daryl Stanton, PhD; an ecologically healthy home both in construction and décor.
• Children and their particular needs for healthy interiors; designing and furnishing children's rooms

Design Philosophy

Closely attending to details and timing, and within your specified budget, Natura Design and Consulting works together with you to create a healing sanctuary that nourishes the soul. Aesthetics often include seemingly disparate pieces interacting with each other in interesting ways — utilizing artwork, furnishings, antiques or memorabilia. I love the hunt, the search, the excitement of design that creates interiors with beauty and style which are also largely organic, sustainable, and supportive of fair trade. Personally, I find great joy in tying all the elements together mixing old and new — including naturally organic accents such as ethnic elements and textiles, with global, international nuances and influences.

Our interiors use the most natural finishes, least harmful to a building's inhabitants or to ecological balance; natural textiles, undyed, plant-dyed or color-grown 'free of chemical treatment' products, ancient or recycled fabrics  may be reworked into creative new uses. Naturally grown bamboo and hemp which quickly replenish themselves are also often used. Wood that is harvested sustainably, or from the architectural salvage of age-old structures may be recycled into new products as well.

Inspiration comes from nature, travels, exotic destinations, colleagues, books and film. Natura Design and Consulting integrates respect for nature, human beings, multi-cultures, and a political consciousness with design meant to appeal to the senses. Our interiors, though organic and sustainable are never stereotypically natural or green...each is individually designed to respond to your personal lifestyle, interests, needs, aesthetic preferences and objectives.
